8. The Sugarplastic Resin

If you like playful pop/rock that will simultaneously remind you of Disney and the Beatles you will LOVE The Sugarplastic. Their last effort, the DGC released Bang, The Earth Is Round, is probably in my top five list of all time favorties. Resin doesn't overshadow its predecessor, but it does contain plenty of material that incites fits of spastic pleasure. "Dunn The Worm" could be the finest single song by The Sugarplastic. It opens full blast and then falls into a dizzying display of guitar tricks by song's end. This is an extremely playful album, and the perfect remedy for those who miss childlike melody in their pop songs. If you don't live in L.A., you'll have to pick this one up at cdbaby.com. Do it.
