Space-CUDets: Song Lyrics

Oh No Won't Do

The first single release after the move to A&M, “Oh No Won't Do” was the opening song on a four-track EP. The other songs were “Ariel”, “Profession” and “Price of Love”. The EP failed to trouble the UK single chart.

The 12" release allegedly came with a set of postcards, although my copy didn't include anything except the round, black, plastic thing.

I've killed a man in Madagascar,
The only way to make my heart beat faster,
I crashed a bus in Buenos Aires,
Lost four lives in dangerous series,

Folks round here call me Private Enterprise,
I'm neither right nor wrong,
My friends and me cause all your miseries.

I've led nuns deep astray in Havana,
Dressed them in Lurex to sell marijuana,
I've poisoned fish in Santiago,
I wind folks up, see how far they go.

Man, I'm so mean,
You've no grounds to complain,
I'm just doing the best that I can.

I've built reactors in East Anglia,
All it does is make folks angrier,
Slash and burn in Montevideo
It's the only solution that they know.
