20 September 2006 Vodafone Ireland The Frank and Walters to rock Cork in the final Vodafone Access Music gig in 2006 Vodafone Ireland, today announced that The Frank and Walters will play the final Vodafone Access Music gig for 2006 in the band's home town, Cork on Saturday 30th September. Following on from the outstanding Franz Ferdinand in Meeting House Square last month and Republic of Loose storming the crowds on a pontoon in the Liffey in July, the final gig in the series is set to be an unmissable night near the Lee. The exact venue, as per previous Vodafone Access Music gigs, will be disclosed just hours before the gig. Coinciding with the launch and release of their up-coming album, A Renewed Interest in Happiness, The Frank and Walters will be performing new tracks including the first single from the album, Miles and Miles. A Renewed Interest in Happiness is due for release on October 27th. With their unmistakable optimistic sound, the band will also perform singles from their previous four albums including the classic After All from their celebrated debut album Trains, Boats and Planes. Fellow Corkonians and five-piece, Jodavino will also be performing on the same stage on Saturday the 30th September so gig-goers will be in for a double-bill of home-grown talent.
