THE FRANK & WALTERS Glas (CD) (Setanta)

Funny this band still exist cos they certainly were the funniest outfit you could find in 1992 when Madchester was the term that got used if you wanted to be considered as hip and I'm sure that songs like "Happy Busman" or "This is not a song" fitted fine at parties where the DJ only played Happy Mondays and Northside but I never could believe that this same band would have released in 2001 that makes other bands blush cos this is the needed way the British musicscene needs if they wanna forget the erors they've made by hyping bands like Travis or Stereophonics cos this is music how it has to sound...something that comes from the heart. How unbelievable it all may sound but this could easily be put in your colection among Trembling Blue Stars or The Field Mice cos this is a masterpiece in where sadness and hapiness find each other. Funniest thing too is that "Glass" really has a New Order-sound which is due to the high use of electronics on here. Of course it's not all wine and roses cos I'm pretty sure that no one here will be aware that they even still exist and bands like them need to be taken out of obscurity simply cos the scene needs them... Really an album to put in the Top 10 list of year!!!!! (CONTACT : see Jacques)
