The Frank and Walters - 'Glass', 26 September 2000
After the initial fanfare that surrounded the huge success of their single 'After All', The Frank and Walters seemed to fade into insignificance. But for the past 10 years they have been slogging away at their music, producing little masterpieces and their fourth album Glass is no exception. Glass stays true to their glorious pop sensibilities with hooks to die for and catchy choruses on almost every track. The album sees them leave their indie guitar roots behind as they have produced an album that could have been written at the peak of New Order or Depeche Mode's career. The Frank and Walters sound more at ease with this new sound and the presence of a synthesiser makes the songs all the better.
