This band is the duo of Martin Newell and Nelson, formerly of The Cleaners From Venus. If you aren't familiar with Mr. Newell, he just may be the most overwhelmingly talented (and most unrecognized) pop songwriter/singer on the planet. If you're a fan of pure pop music, you absolutely MUST pick up this disc. Featuring more of the stellar, shockingly catchy tunes I've come to expect from Martin, Lizardland is another virtually PERFECT collection of timeless and beautiful tunes. All thirteen songs are gems! I could go on and on gushing about this fellow. Even this early on in the year, I can just about bet this will be in my top ten by year's end.....
