I got bored this afternoon, so out came the guitar and the Off-White
Album and I worked out the chords to "Michael Moonlight".
So here they are. I'm not sure about some of them, but they sound OK
when I play them against the album version. If anyone less cloth-
eared than me can correct them, be my guest. Paul, how about putting
this up on the website?
Call Me Michael Moonlight
V1:
[A]You are Jaded [F#m]you are fallen
[D]You do not know where you've [A] been.
>From the beggars [F#m]in the precincts
[D]To your dusty worn-out [E]queen
[A]I have heard you [F#m] and observed you
[D]Since you locked me up [Bm]alone
[A]Call me [F#m]Michael Moonlight -[D] I live on my [A] own
V2 : So you shake your heads
And you sigh your sighs
And you throw your coins at me
And you salve your conscience generally
For the price of bread and tea
But I know you
There could go you
And you know as well as me
Call me Michael Moonlight
My advice is free
Mid 8
[E]Sleep [E7]sweet [A]sleep[E] with electrical dreams
[F#m]Like a soda stream [D]from your TV screen
[E]Life [E7]hard [A]life [E]with your car and your wife
[F#m]and your money too [D]working hard for you
[Em]As you climb the walls
In despair[C#m -single chord only]
It occurs then, in the meantime
With a halfway decent brain
Education from the nation?
But your tax is down the drain
So I tell you this in your fiscal bliss
I won't pester you again
Call me Michael Moonlight
Boy from down the lane.
Mid 8
Now, there are black sheep
there are white sheep
And the tie-dye sheep abound
In a paisley silk economy with a psychedelic pound.
But the point is that we're all sheep
And we all find out we are
Call me Michael Moonlight - I'm your lucky star (rpt. till end)
